After your dental implant has been placed and has had time to integrate with your supporting bone, our dentist will provide you with an implant restoration. An implant restoration is a prosthetic tooth which caps the implant post to finish replacing your tooth and restoring your smile. This implant is usually a single crown.

Dental crowns, also known as caps, are designed to cover the implant post down to the gum line, replacing the entire visible portion of the tooth. While they may be made of a variety of materials, our office uses only ceramic materials when creating your crown in order to ensure that your final result looks, feels and functions just like your original tooth and will provide you with a long-lasting solution that you can enjoy for years to come.

It will take two appointments to complete your dental crown and finish your implant treatment. During the first appointment we will take an impression and choose the correct shade of white for your crown. The impression will then be used to create the crown, and you will return for your second appointment. Our dentist will place the crown atop the implant and check to ensure that it fits. The implant restoration will then be bonded in place.
